I am trying to make my own php habbo retro and I have followed the steps on lots of tutorials, and once I have done everything in phpmyadmin, I try to go to localhost/install/install.php and i get an error, object not found :
Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 404

localhost
05/05/12 10:02:30
Apache/2.2.21 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0e PHP/5.3.8 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1

I am using xampp and I figured that the problem could be is that the apache and mysql svc boxes are checked, I tried stopping them and unticking the boxes but whenever they uncheck they automatically recheck again.

Please someone help.

Many Thanks

Holly

Hi Hollzzy,

Apache is very clear in it's error messages.
There is no install.php file in your C:\xampp\htdocs\install\ directory (or the directory which fits your DocumentRoot, if you changed it).
The \xampp\apache\logs\error.log file can give you more information about where the file is searched by apache.

best wishes,
Altrea

If you can't understand the error messages your self it would be best to post them here.
We can't help you further without knowing the errors.

No, this is just a local path on your local harddisk.
I can't access your local harddisk so i can't see this image.

Please post your errors as plain text within
