can't edit my databases

Postby kirkwebsites » 20. April 2012 20:12

hope someone can help me. I have a localhost sytem up and running but I can't figure out how to access Phpmyadmin to edit my databases. I used to just go to My Documents, key in "lo" in the address bar and select the phpmyadmin. Now no matter where I try to do that I get "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Option Copntrol Panel". I'm lost?

Type:
localhost
in your browser address bar.

On that xampp page there is a phpmyadmin selection on the left.

I wish I could. currently, no matter what I enter into the address bar, it reverts back to what was showing before I can hit enter

Ok, I'll try to say it differently. My concern is that I need to edit my databases. I go to my application in htdocs, enter localhost in the address bar, select the phpmyadmin option from the drop down and get the aforementioned message. I'm hoping knowledgeable person can help me figure out what to do to get past this.

Open your preferred web browser, make sure Apache and MySQL are both running, and go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin
