Hello friends.

My localhost was running fine. but suddenly its just stops running properly.

Using Xampp 1.7.2

Every time I am trying to run xampp apache just start and then stops. I know Apache is not starting properly but My port 80 is free though this problem is happening. Not using IIS, Skype, ZoneAlarm or other software which may block port 80. Seriously port 80 is absolutely available but why Apache not using port 80. And I have also tried wamp it's getting yellow..

Also configured the host file on Windows/system32/drivers/etc/ there is only one thing
127.0.0.1 localhost.

Also changed the httpd.conf file of Apache directory to change the port that it's using 80 to 8080 and other free ports.. ain't works.

Also checked the php path.. but not sure...

Honestly tried each and every ways possible which is found on the internet.. not works for me...

Now What Will be the solution for this.... ?

Here is the screen shot of my pc.

Would you be so kind as to add your Windows version to your profile as it is *important*:

I notice you did not read the \xampp\apache\logs\error.log file for clues when Apache will not start - this should always be the first thing you check.

Also read the Windows Event viewer under the Applications tab.

Also for troubleshooting you should revert all your configuration changes back to the defaults that were set when you installed XAMPP.

BTW, this not a WAMP forum so no help possible here but it does have it's own forum.

I have tried both and xampp screen shot has been posted..

though solved the problem..

And here is the solution...

Open “Control Panel” then “Network Connections.”

Right-click on “Local Area Connection” and select “Properties.”

Double-click on the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” line to open the “Properties.”

On the “General” tab, click the “Advanced” button.

Select the “WINS” tab and uncheck the “Enable LMHOSTS Lookup” box.”
