I have a windows vps, and I have xampp set up.

I want to be able to access the phpmyadmin area remotely, but it won't let me. I have changed the xampp security concept, and can access the /xampp directory!

So, what is the issue?

There is also an Alias path set in \xampp\apache\conf\extra\httpd-xampp.conf that may an issue.

You will also have to create a new super user root for 'Any host' access under the Privileges tab Add a new user and Check all under Global privileges so this Any host super user root has full Global privileges - click on Go when done.

Good luck and please let me know back if the above helps. :)

It depends on what exactly your issue is as you were not very specific. Can you not load the phpMyAdmin page at all or will it not let you login? If it is the latter, by default, mysql does not have any users defined for remote connections.

Your issue is not related to this topic so it has been moved to it's own topic here:
