On a standard Windows setup with xampp installed is it possible to run a Bash script using php?

If not is there anything I can install extra to run a Bash script through xampp and php?

You might be able to run 'some bash scripts' using cyg-win... but you would be on your own and waaaaay out there...

Basically you do know that Bash scripts execute on Linux filesystems and use Linux shell commands, right???

Why don't you just set up a linux machine or partition???

You answer is what I suspected but thought I would ask anyway

It was something always at the back of my mind and the question came up on the Imagemagick forum which prompted me to ask.

I do not use bash scripts very often and as I can run them on my website it is not a problem.

That reminds me I have an old PC that I intended to install Linux on ( to learn ) when I brought my new one 2-3 years ago
