I already a version of Apahe running on my computer and MySQL too, I didn’t use the xampp method (SORRY), but didn’t know where to turn.
When I type out simple php scripts like
echo "<h1>hello world ok</h1>"; it views in a browser as it should, BUT
when I try to view a wordpress template file it gives the following error: The website encountered an error while retrieving http://localhost/home.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Maybe this hold up is obvious to somebody.
