Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

So I had my site up and running for some time now. I noticed I didn't have any passwords on anything. So I went to the XAMPP security tab and gave everything a password. When I tried to view my site I got the "Error MySQL access denied for user root@localhost" error.
I tried everything I found on the forums with no luck. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you created your own website, my guess is that you need to edit your website to use the new login information to the database. If this is not a local only development site, you should also consider making a new user in MySQL other than root that only has the permissions it needs on the database(s) it needs.
