[solved]phpMyAdmin is in German instead of English!

I successfully installed xampp version 1.7.7 today onto a Windows 7 (64 bit) laptop, but when i clicked on the XAMPP Control Panel "Admin" button for MySQL, it took me to the http://localhost/phpMyAdmin screen, and most of the page is in German! The left hand navigation menu is in English, but the horizontal menu buttons are all in German, as is most of the window's content. Is there an easy fix for this, please?

Sure!

• Open phpmyadmin => http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
• Search for "Anzeige-Einstellungen" at this page
• In there is a setting "Sprache - Language"
• Switch this setting from "Deutsch - German" to "English"

Your phpmyadmin GUI should now be in english.

thanks very much for the quick reply, Altrea! i speak Russian, and a little Spanish, but unfortunately the German was beyond my skills! i appreciate your guidance on how to resolve it, and will try those steps when i get home from work tonight. thanks again!
