Apache, MySQL start on Win 7 HP boot. 1.7.7 [SOLVED]

How do you get Apache and Mysql to start when Windows 7 Boots up? I have checked the Service Modules to the left of these on the Control Panel, but when Windows re-starts they aren't started and the checks are gone. I have also gone into the Service option and check the XAMPP service along with Apache and MySql in the service and restarted, again no startup and checks gone.

Can anyone advise how to have Apache and MySql automatically start on Windows start?

Would you be so kind as to add your XAMPP version and OS in your profile please:

Thanks. :)

When you start the control panel the ticks are usually greyed out and Apache and MySQL stopped..

When Apache and MySQL are stopped you can then click on the Ticks in the Modules column and you should then be asked if you want to install the Windows service, which you agree to. The tick should then turn green.

Click on Start for Apache and MySQL and make sure they start and show in green under the Module heading.

Can you get as far this?

Once you have those Ticks green and Apache and MySQL have started click on the button Win-Services and look for Apache2.2 and mysql and check that the services have started.

Quit the control panel and reboot and check again if they have both started after the boot.

Good luck. :)

I stopped them both and checked the Service under Module and then restarted them. The ticks did not turn green. They remained blue ticks with a gray background.

I think you should revisit your other solved topic and see if there are any similarities to this issue:

If you click on the link in my post it will explain what to do and provides a direct link to the part of your profile that needs this information.

Thanks, I had forgotten about that other post and that the Control Panel version 3 was included in the 1.7.7 XAMPP. Opened up the CP3 which included the options to auto start Apache and Mysql. Did that and it worked fine.
