virtual hosting cannot run in xampp

i use xampp version 1.7.4, windows server 2008 for my OS
i have a problem which xampp cannot detect my domain name, it only run the default page with http://localhost/ and not my domain name http://www.mydomain.com

Where is your web site placed?
