Solution - Apache will not start on Windows 2003

Hi all.. I am setting up a fresh install for testing.. This is a brand new W2k3 server with only the windows update applied. I have installed the latest XAMPP.. Apache will not start.. Looking into this further, I came across this article, http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=424814, where it mentions install the VC++ redistributable package.

Since XAMPP is created using VC9, I installed the VC++ 2008 package and now it works perfectly..

Note to authors of XAMPP, please add this package to your install or at least make it a requirement for the install..

Regards,
Rob
