MySQL Deactivated

Postby koymackoy » 22. November 2011 13:29

After installing XAMPP I did try to access it using Google Chrome. After clicking the Status button on the left side of the screen I noticed that MySQL database is deactivated. What needs to be done in order for it to be active? Does XAMPP only runs on a 32-bit system?

Did I not answer this in your other topic?

Only one question or subject per topic as outlined here...

...that I asked you to read before posting.
Tell me what you don't understand about what I asked you to do?

Open \xampp\mysql\bin\my.ini file and change this line by removing the # from the beginning of the line
Code: Select all
#bind-address="127.0.0.1"
Save the file and restart MySQL.

A forum search as outlined here...
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=32670
...which I asked you to read in my first post in your other topic
viewtopic.php?p=189006#p189006
would have found a solution using the keyword(s) mysql deactivated solved in the XAMPP for Windows English forum.
