Hi

I have installed XAMPP 1.7.7; have created a PHP file but this does not open in IE. IE prompts me to save the item as it is unable to open it. Could you tell me what the problem is? At the moment I am a novice to XAMPP. Thank you.

Use the new Control Panel xampp-control-3-beta.exe in the xampp folder but first Exit the older 2.5 version.

Now look and see if Apache and MySQL are both running and if not Start them.

Then try http://localhost and see if you go to the XAMPP Welcome page.
