Setting up website via Intranet (Vista/Win7) 1.7.7 [SOLVED]

Hi all,

I am having problems connecting to my web-site via intranet (Lan) or (wlan). I can connect to XAMPP via http://192.168.1.2/xampp

That works fine, but when I try to point to my index.html which is in a sub directory called compliance in htdocs it will not allow me to access via web. I can via file system, but not via URL.

Am I supposed to configure the site area in some way in Xampp contol panel. If so I really can't see how or where.

if I type http://192.168.1.2/xampp/htdocs it says

Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 404

Any ideas - what am I doing wrong?

Try http://192.168.1.2/compliance/index.html

Or to test from the PC that XAMPP is installed on:
http://localhost/compliance/index.html

Usually errors can be best read with more detail from the \xampp\apache\logs\error.log file.
