Using data from previous installation of XAMPP

so i had lost my previous installation of XAMPP (don't ask why :--)) but still have the xampp folder i was using. i was not able to export all the content so i am trying to figure out a way to retrieve my old data (webpages).

i just want to set everything up so i can see my older pages and then figure out how to export/import them into a newer version on the intended machine.

i installed the old version of XAMPP (XamppWin32_1dot7dot3) and then copied mysql folder along with the mediawiki (folder with all the content i believe).

first it gave me some error about root password but i was able to fix that (or so i think) by setting up the same password which i had previously.

now when i try to access the localhost/w, i get the below error. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

please be patient. Not every user can be here 24/7 and not anybody have the time to google the web around for you.

XAMPP 1.7.3 comes with PHP 5.3.1.
Due to a bug in one of the php functions in this version, Mediawiki is not compatible with this version.

PHP version 5.2.3 or later. PHP 5.3.1 is incompatible with MediaWiki due to a bug.
