I do not understand what i am doing wrong.

I am downloading xampp to also be able to use joomla. I tryed downloading xampp the right way by putting it in my C: and the http://localhost/ did not work it was blank. And it was the same for when i tryed to extract the joomla files into at file into the htdocs in xampp and i still get a blank page.


Any help?

Did you start apache? Go to the XAMPP control panel and start apache if you have not. What do you mean by "blank"? What happens when you type http://localhost/phpmyadmin?

I clicked that link you posted and it said unable to connect to page try again. and im not worryed bout running apache i wanna install joomla

oh well when running apache and clicking the link you provided it says access denied

I don't know how to install joomla but I do know to access http://localhost you need to have apache started. Do you have apache started?
