Problem connecting for both Window/Mac platforms of xampp

There are problems all over with apache, keep getting error messages. On my mac I had problems and now today on my pc. I was using mamp/wamp then I went on to using xampp on both systems and both are coming up with errors and not displaying webpages. What's up with that?
