After a power failure, all seems to run smootly but the MySQL altough initializes do not connect.

Here's the message:
MySQL said:

Cannot connect: invalid settings.

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

I tryied to desinstal everything, remove directoryes, registry index, everything, and re-install from scratch, but it didn't work...

Here the first log after the re-instalL:

@sdifiore
You have selected a misleading and incorrect Avatar.
You are an ApacheFriends User not an ApacheFriends Administrator so kindly reselect the correct User Avatar or be adventurous and create or use an alternative that reflects more about your own character- thanks.

Well.... Unfortunatelly, you do, what people in you organization ask you to do, regardless of your previous knowledge in a specific item. So, if they ask me to act as admin than user, that's what I have to show, whetever my knowledge at the moment does not match so. Anyways, I'm a faster learner, that you can bet.

What I really need are ansswers, like the one of the webdav folder, wich worth trying....

Thanks!

What Sharley wants you to tell you is that the Avatar you "choose" is not for Administrators hosting XAMPP but for Administrators of this Board, of the Apachefriends Project.
And that is (independing of your knowledge or what your organisation tell you) not your position.
