Allow all to see xampp?

Postby x900lbGorillax » 27. June 2011 08:56

Hi I am just trying to allow all to see my website by IP. I understand the security risks just forget how to remove the security in the config file or modify it. I found this code here. Does this code allow all to see my site by IP and then /wordpress <-- by that directory? I am using Xampp + wordpress as my site platform. I like it a lot. Thanks for any help. Code below.

As installed, XAMMP will run WordPress flawlessly in my personal experience. If XAMPP works, generally WordPress will also work.

THEREFORE the only fixes you really need are those that will expose your IP to the Internet (obviously including the security fixes).
I have a guide on that topic:
http://bravo.newnetenterprises.com/word ... -security/

For the WordPress specific side, I use the 'Secure WordPress' plugin to patch many little things (mostly administrative).

As for your 'direct' problem - well something is wrong... A better statement would be 'here is what I CHANGED', rather than asking us to interpret by comparison.

Good Luck
