#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using pas

I'm trying to connect to localhost/phpmyadmin and I get the following error:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

The thing is I really don't remember if I used a password. Please help!

If you tried using a 'null' (empty) PW, then there likely IS a PW

XAMPP has a tool to repair that

Here's a note on how to fix if you can't remember the PW you used.
