Installed windows version of xampp. Runing windows xp home edition version 2002 SP3. Tested the local host and everything works fine. Then tried to ftp a file and got the error 550 do not have permission. The htdocs and cgi-bin folder is read only. Tried to change this to read write under the properties but that doesnt work. Is this the normal install method for xampp to make the htdocs and cgi-bin folder as read only? If not how do you change them to read write? Any help would be appreciated.

IF you were able to do the 'localhost' thing, it implies you have direct access to the machine

(little pile of stones) AKA Therefore - there is no need to FTP anything. Just copy it into the folders you need using Windows Explorer.
