password bug

After I start XAMPP through XAMPP\xampp-control and I go to localhost through browser, I get asked for my password. I enter the password and then it asks me for the password again, and again. If I reload the page, then I am take localhost yellow and orange page. Why am I not taken to the orange and yellow page right after I enter my password once?

A fresh and clean Xampp installation DOES NOT ask for any password.
