Granting permissions to other users

Postby grosskopf » 23. May 2011 22:21

I've used XAMPP for a while now and I jut got another server, so I installed it. I have a program that needs to connect to a database that I created. The program is called BigBrotherBot. If I set the database username/password to root/(my root password), I can connect to the database. If I try using the user that I created for the database, it won't connect. This is all locally, not over the net.

In the database, I granted all permissions to the new user, only to that specific database. Here's screenshots so you can see for yourself. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!

localhost isn't part of thge wildcard %
If your script is running on the same server like the DB, you need a localhost permission.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

It's like porn for programmers 8)
