Hi
I just downloaded xampp for windows and for some reason I don't know why the apache didn't work.
If I clicked on the Start the "Running" was not displayed. But the MySQL and Filezilla were.

Checked if I was using IIS there was no IIS
Skype was not also started

So what I did was, I uninstalled it and after it delete all the files

I got this error:
Input error: Can not find script file : D:\xampp\uninstl.temp\xampp_uninstall.vbs"

XAMPP uninstall not OK
Press any key to continue

I already restarted and turned off my PC to see if that helps but was still getting the same error.

Could you please help me how to uninstall this completely?

You can uninstal XAMPP manually:
- unregister all XAMPP Services (Apache, MySQL, etc.)
- Stop all XAMPP processes
- Delete the XAMPP folder

I can't stop the processes anymore because I think they are gone except for the folder
xampp - > uninstall_xampp.bat
- > xampp_shell.bat


Are you saying that I can just simply delete now the folder of xampp with 2 files left?

Just try it out.
XAMPP is very portable, so there are no registry keys (exept the Windows Services) or files outside the xampp folder (exept you change the configuration for that).

ok. I did it and it just deleted the folder now.

Now I'm going to reinstall it and it says install apache, myqsl and filezilla as a service, do I need to check all 3?

I wouldn't register any services for XAMPP unless all is working fine and you really want to start XAMPP Components right after the windows start automatically.

Thanks Altrea. I read your reply just now and I did the installation yesterday. Now it seems to work fine. All 3 are working now.
