Hello! I want to run wordpress on a virtual host I created in xampp. This is not a localhost, I own the domain, but the phpmyadmin and mysql database on xampp are setup to administer localhost. Is there some way to also use them to administer my virtual host?

Install an external tool to control your domain / DB ..

like My Sql Yog .... it will be very helpfull for you
