How To Bring In External SQL File?

Postby richlocus » 21. April 2011 19:26

I'm somewhat new to XAMPP. I installed it and worked with databases already provided in the install.
A friend sent me an SQL file (usedcars.sql) and I'm trying to see it in phpMyAdmin, but I have not been able to make it visible so I can see the tables inside the database. How do I connect to it using phpMyAdmin from XAMPP?
Thanks in advance for any help.

- create a new database
- click on the import tab
- choose the .sql file to upload
