MySql blocked or not running issue

Hi, ive been using Xampp for some time now, it's a real time saver but i had a issue with apache on my dedicated server box running windows server 2003.

Ive tried reinstalling xampp several times but it just comes up with "A MySQL server is not running or is blocked by a firewall!" message in the xampp message. The port however is declared open, windows firewall theres an exception for the program and port (3306) and it's the same when it's disabled too.

The log outputs this but its pretty much fruitless:

Nevermind. The new version is the issue. Installed 1.7.3 and everything was fine.
