I have recently upgraded to xampp 1.7.4 and now when I start xampp I get this warning message:
when xampp starts apache and mysql are already started automatically and I can't stop them!!!
Can anyone please help?

Remove the ticks in the Svc check boxes then try and Stop Apache and MySQL and don't tick them again unless you want to install Apache and MySQL as a Windows Service which means they will start automagically when Windows starts.
