I have Apache and everything installed and running fine except Apache will not stop running. I get an error -1 message. What do I need to do?

How are you trying to stop Apache?

What XAMPP version have you installed?

Thank you for your reply. The Apache Control Panel says 2.5. I start and stop it through the control panel. Well, I try to stop it through the control panel.

Remove the ticks in the Svc check boxes then try the Stop button again.

Use the stop bat files in the xampp folder.

Run the uninstallservice bat files in the apache and mysql folders.

Also try this:
Close the XAMPP Control Panel.

Open Windows Task Manager by right clicking on the Task Bar and selecting it from the menu.

Click on the Processes tab and find httpd.exe and mysqld.exe and highlight each one at a time and select to End Process so they are no longer listed - close Task Manager.

Open the XCP and see if Apache and MySQL are not running now.

Advance forum search for webdav in the XAMPP for Windows forum.
