XAMPP in USB

Hi,

I have installed xampp in a usb. I did not execute setup_xampp.bat. The problem arises when i use the usb in another computer. It assigns a different letter to the usb and i cannot start apache because httpd.conf is configured to work at the drive letter it was originally installed into. I would be grateful if someone could point me a solution.

Thank you very much beforehand.

Did you use the installer or the Zip-File? You should use the Zip-File, because the Installer runs the setup_xampp.bat

I would like to ask whether i need to double click setup_xampp.bat and xampp-control.exe when i mount the usb to the computers.

I wonder if i need to double click setup_xampp.bat for usb package

Both the readme_en.txt file and the Installation instruction on the XAMPP for Windows home page are quite clear about the use of the setup_xampp.bat file:
http://www.apachefriends.org/winxampp/readme_en.txt
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#1156

After you have extracted XAMPP to a portable USB device then to start and stop the XAMPP components you can use the XAMPP Control Panel - xampp-control.exe file.
