Which file needs to be assigned to port 80?

When I try to start the apache service, I'm getting port 80 is busy. Which program file, .exe, do I need to assign to port 80. That part of the installation process failed.

Which XAMPP version?
Does the Apache and MySQL show a green running indication in the XAMPP Control Panel?
Is there a tick in any of the Svc check boxes and if so which ones?
Are there any clues why Apache can't start in the \xampp\apache\logs\error.log file?
