Help!

Postby Evolution-X » 13. February 2004 23:14

I need help!

I just installed the Xampp program and it works well but..

When l tried to add a MySQL root password, so l just opened the file ''mysqladmin''

Then the window poped up, suddenly.. it went closed immediately everytime when l tried to open the file ''mysqladmin''

Also.. I tried to activate my PHP extension »Turck MMCache« but it won't work for me.. i mean

I just followed the information from :

How do I activate the Turck MMCache accelerator?
Please open the "php.ini" in the directory \xampp\apache\bin\php.ini. There uncomment the following lines, remove the semicolon in each line, so:

zend_extension_ts=\xampp\php\dlls\mmcache.dll
mmcache.shm_size="16"
mmcache.cache_dir=\xampp\tmp\mmcache
mmcache.enable="1"
mmcache.optimizer="1"
mmcache.check_mtime="1"
mmcache.debug="0"
mmcache.filter=""
mmcache.shm_max="0"
mmcache.shm_ttl="0" mmcache.shm_prune_period="0"
mmcache.shm_only="0"
vmmcache.compress="1"

Don't forget the restart of the Apache HTTPD!

When l did this, I just saved the old file and restarted my apache. Nothing happened.. i mean when l looked at my XAMPP Status.. it said that my PHP extension »Turck MMCache« is still deactivated

Please help, thanks

search your hdd for php.ini, you should have two files edit the one you have not already edited, and edit that one from now on. as for the mysql the path in the batch file is probably wrong so you might want to check that out.
