httpd.conf????

Postby Martinfin » 14. December 2010 00:17

Is httpd.conf where I have my site go?

Let me explain it a little better. my site is http://rscd.dontexist.com.. but when you go there it takes me too xampp setup. It used to work right , I messed something up. Now I have to tell everyone to go to http://rscd.dontexist.com/forum/index.php in order to use the board. Where am I going wrong? and do I need to attach anything to help me out with this problem.
In dire need of help... and I have no money to pay, meaning no PAYPAL. I messed that up. Have to pay them off 1st.

Thanks Apache Friends!

In your C:\xampp\htdocs folder there are 2 index files that belong to XAMPP and are redirecting you to the htdocs\xampp folder which is giving you access denied from the Internet.

Simply delete these 2 index files index.php and index.html (or rename them) and replace them with your own web site's index file either index.php or index.html.

This should fix your problem without the need to tamper with any .conf file.

Good luck.

You have at least 3 possibilities:

1st: edit the index.php in your htdocs folder. There is a redirect in it, which you can edit to route to your forum
2nd: edit the DocumentRoot in your httpd.conf to your forum
3rd: create a VHOST in your xampp\apache\conf\extra\httpd-vhosts.conf
