We (at least I) don't understand you.

Certificate? perhaps Username and password?

SSL certiciate???

In windows there is no 'terminal' as you would think of it, there's a Command window (often called teh DOS prompt). Its as close to a shell as exists in the workstation Winodws world. There's no need for a Login, AS long as the user you log in on is an Administrator. There is no suexec or 'root' in Windows. When you log on to Windows, you have done all the authentication needed.

Good Luck
