Win 7 XAMPP - Reset Socket Errors

Postby jbeauchamp » 14. October 2010 22:29

I have been using XAMPP on Windows 7 for about 6 months now. I have always had an issue that once in awhile, it will say the server is not found or it will take a socket exception. Lately it is getting worse and it seems like every other click on my sites is causing this error. I am working on Magento stores so it is all PHP. I have done many searches on the web and tried just about everything I have found. Turning off all virus and spyware software, fiddling with settings in the httpd.conf just to name a couple. Nothing seems to help. Is there anybody here with any idea why I would be taking these errors. I am running XAMPP 1.7.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated as losing an hour or so per day to this problem is really getting to me.
