after install - simple mail test error - Help :)

Hey,
Ok, I have done this before with no problems. Its been several years. However, on the install of the 1.7.3, I am just trying to do the simple test email before moving on to more mods. I have not modified any files, etc... Mercury is running, in xampp control page i click on mercury mail and do the test email.

This should be simple, but I am sure I am missing something. Thanks for any help. I do not want to load up ZC1.39q on my test server if I can not get off 1st base.

teh basics are the same for all mailservers, BTW - they have to work together - that's what SMTP, POP, and IMAP are all about -interoperability.
