sendmail: cannot connect to localhost, port 25: Connection

Hi

I am unable to send mail from localhost. I am using cmd as of now to check this and getting thr following error


C:\xampp\sendmail>sendmail to myemail@gmail.com body hi
sendmail: cannot connect to localhost, port 25: Connection refused
sendmail: could not send mail (account default from C:\xampp\sendmail\sendmail.i
ni)

My php.ini seems to be good and the related line are as follows


[mail function]

SMTP = localhost
