who is in control of this software that has so many problems and should be up front about all the problems it has . I am trying to run this on windows vista . so if it cant run on it you who ever is in control of this software should say this software does not work on windows vista and save every one a whole lot of trouble.

I made a post earlier and had 27 views but no answers....

Your post was just 15 hours old.
Be patient! Not everybody reads every half an hour in this board.

XAMPP can run on Windows Vista, but your first post don't give us enough information what you've already done and what the problem could be.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

Hi!

Take time for setting up a server!
Read docs and tutorials if you want to do it the right way.
Nothing on this planet is just as plug and play - or buy and own it...
Sorry to say - but its hard to read your text .. no >.< (dots) or comma for sentences.

Altrea is right - XAMPP is free -> and its living from its users worldwide and of course engineers. And we all have a life not in front of the pc too.
There is no need to pay for support, even that is free. So there is no guarantee for an solving question in a short time.
Of course its frustrating when nobody answers, but just be patient, somebody will :-)

But - what is your problem in this threat exactly?
To your question to look at your ports?
Best is -> Open XAMPP-Control-Panel and click on Check-Ports button. That will give you an report with ports are opened and not or other programms are using ports XAMPP needs.

kind regards
WindowsXP, MacOS X, Windows11 - ApacheFriends since 2002 :-)
