Error 403 Problems with smt2

Postby Laughing Man » 04. August 2010 18:59

Hello, I'm hoping someone here can help me resolve the 403 error I keep receiving when trying to use simple mouse tracker (smt2). http://code.google.com/p/smt2/. I've been e-mailing with the author of the programming trying to resolve it, and he thinks it is a PHP error on my end. But despite installing a completely new installation of the full version of XAMPP (previous version was previous) in a new directory it still won't work. It should work with XAMPP since other people are using XAMPP with it (based on results from a Google search). And it's not a permissions error since I am using a Windows XP system (no need to chmod anything).

Here is what the access.log in Apache says.

Err, sorry I don't speak German (Google Translate didn't help much either). But I'm trying to replace the current mouse tracking system we use for usability studies with smt2.

JonB puts on his Spock costume and attempts a Remote VulcanMindMeld (a special case of RPC).

Nope, I cannot see into either your mind or that mysterious programmer's mind.

Just to ask the obvious: Is the snt2 folder under \xampp\htdocs?
and where is jquery located?

Where are the CSS_PATH and ADMIN_PATH variables supplied from_and_or_set? is the %3C and %3E supposed to be parameter passes or a character substitution?

My offhand guess is a problem with escape sequences and/or fixed assumptions about the OS and how modules will be installed/located.

Good Luck

have you tried contacting any of those other 'XAMPP Users'?
