MySQL log file? To handle errors

Hello,

Today my MySQL service crashed and I don't know exactly why.
I logged in to my server and saw that mysql-nt service crashed.

I needed to stop Apache, and then restart Apache and start mysql services.

I would like to understand why MySQL crashed but I don't see any log file for errors.

Apache does have some in C:\xampp\apache\logs.
But I don't see any for MySQL...

Is there something I don't see? Or something I can do to help me on this problem.

Thank you

There is a mysql.err file in your data folder
