Ok here is the situation im hosting my phpbb from my hom webserver using xampp and phpbb and mysql.
i want to be able to go to www.name.com and bring up my forums but when i go to www.name.com i get this

CODE: SELECT ALL
Access forbidden!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New XAMPP security concept:

Access to the requested directory is only available from the local network.

This setting can be configured in the file "httpd-xampp.conf".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

the forums in phpbb is already made and ready to go i just got to assign it a www.name.com and allow it to be viewed on the web

- Change the DocumentRoot Path to your forum path (bad idea, you can't reach the XAMPP Administration with all the sample applications any more)
- Create namebased VHosts
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

It's like porn for programmers 8)
