All my phpMyAdmin file set to open with notepad only

Hi

While changing my root password for MYSQL, I accidentally open the c:\xampp\phpMyAdmin\config.inc.php as a notepad file.

This resulted in all the .php file in the phpMyAdmin folder reset to open as notepad files.

I have lost all access to phpMyAdmin because the config.inc.php file cannot be accessed.

Please help. I have uninstalled xampp many times and I have deleted the c\xampp folder many times.

But each time I re-installed xampp, the phpMyAdmin folder retained notepad to open all files.

I had to edit a few registry entries as follows:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileExts \ .xls \ OpenWithList
Edit delete all field EXCEPT THE DEFAULT

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOY\.php
Edit from the menu
Delete php auto file
