I am curious as to whether the latest version of XAMPP is compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium 64.

Thanks, wrecker69

Thanks for the quick reply. I am also wondering if I can upgrade to the latest version without losing my WP files.

Thanks, wrecker69

"WP"? Sorry, I don't understand.

In general, you can update it freely but keep your configuration files safe as they may get overwritten during update.

You should backup your WP database (incluiding schema), and copy your WordPress folder to a 'safe area' (outside XAMPP).

Good Luck

They should be safe. I never experienced data loss after update but making backups is always an important thing to do.
