Going live using XAMPP

Postby khearns » 24. May 2010 21:21

I am running xampp on windows server 2008. I have my site running successfully locally: http://localhost:8080. Now what I want to do is make my site visible to everyone on our local network. So basically anyone signed into our domain can type in 10.x.x.xxx:8080 and the site will pop up.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Xampp default installation does not restrict to any IP.

Therefore, If you have problems to reach your Xampp server via 10.x.x.x, it is due to any restrictions in your environment (routers, firewalls, etc. ).

Thank you...I thought I created a rule within my internal firewall to handle this, which obviously was not the case, because when I disabled the firewall it worked.
