Log files grown out of control

Postby psyper » 08. May 2010 11:23

I have a number of people accessing my intranet site running xampp and parts of the pages auto-refresh quite regularly - this is creating a very large access.log file which I have to remove every now and then. With more people accessing the site everyday its becoming too much to keep having to remove it.

Is there anyway to stop xampp from writing to this file or to at the very least have it kept to a manageable size?

mod_log_rotate might work for you.

clearly, you are on your own here, be sure to back everything up before you twiddle the bits.
