Something is wrong with the XAMPP instalation

Well i have the latest xampp (1.7.3) , but whenever i tried to open a .php file it just show a blank page.

When i run the index.php it says Something is wrong with the XAMPP instalation

You need to access your files through http://localhost/, not your computer file system, as if you do so that way the PHP interpreter won't run the files, and your browser will just display the PHP code without parsing it.
