Using a different db

Okay, having just installed XAMPP, it seems like my first project will use postgres instead of MySQL

What will I need to change in order to use a postgres db instead of MySQL, please? If that can be Cygwin's postgres I would be doubly grateful and donate two glasses of virtual beer*

* Note: offer valid until supplies last. Not intended for on-road use. Slippery when wet.

Does this help as it seems to cover all the details required for Pg in XAMPP:
How To Install PostgreSQL And phpPgAdmin Support In XAMPP

Or perhaps here for your Cygwin Pg needs:
Installing PostgreSQL on Windows Using Cygwin

Sorry I can't be more help.

Thanks, I guess that will work. I'll try it out later, or tomorrow.
