Problem with OpenSSL

Postby vmb2000_uk » 08. April 2010 14:57

Hi there,

I am trying to send emails using PHP Code igniter and I am sure i have configured everything correctly in my code igniter project.

I believe there is a problem with my XAMPP server settings which is causing the following error:

I have researched into this error and I believe it has something to do with enabling SSL on my server.

Open /apache/bin/php.ini file - there are a few php.ini files you could edit, but this one will work everytime.
Find the line with ;extension=php_openssl.dll and uncomment it.
Restart Apache.

These instructions i cannot follow because i do not have a line in my php.ini file ;extension=php_openssl.dll and the dll does not exist anywhere in my xampp directory.

Has this been removed? if so how do i enable ssl or make this work.

Please can someone shed some light onto this problem!

Thanks in advance

What version of XAMPP are you using? The recent versions of XAMPP include SSL.
