Trying to Install ColdFusion MX 7 w/ Apache 2.2 - WinXP

Hello all!

Well, I got myself a new laptop to show some stuff off. Some of my older stuff is ColdFusion based and my newer stuff is PHP. Now I'm trying to install CF 7.0.2 on the same machine (Win XP) as Apache 2.2 as it comes with the ApacheFriends XAMPP (1.7.3) package and it's giving me some serious fits.

I've read all the blogs, downgraded my JRE back to 1.4.2 to get the last version of the wsconfig.jar file to work (this is supposed to allow ColdFusion and Apache to play nice together) and no avail. It's looking like there is some kind of port confusion, as I cannot start Apache once I link it up with CF using the Web Server Configuration Tool. If I move it over to listen on 8080 it works fine but CF doesn't find its root CFIDE directory. This is a serious bear and I need to get this thing up and running. I'm hoping I don't have to upgrade to CF9 as I really can't afford that right now. Any one have any clues how to make these two environments talk to each other? Any info appreciated! Thanks in advance...

Update - just upgraded to CF9 Developer Edition (it's free) and still no love - same exact problem.

Disregard. I figured it out - at least for CF 9.

It seems that the CF Installer screwed up and placed the additional "index.cfm" in the list of main indexes outside the line break backslash in the DirectoryIndex module, causing a syntax error and causing Apache to fail. Once I moved it inside the line break character, everything started working fine.

If there was an emoticon to show me shaking my head, I'd include it here.
