Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I noticed that while there's a 1.7.2 -> 1.7.3 updater, there doesn't appear to be one that goes from 1.7.1. -> 1.7.2.
Can I use the 1.7.2 -> 1.7.3 updater on a 1.7.1 install? If not, what's the smoothest way to do an upgrade to the current XAMPP?
Thanks!

No, you should use a fresh install. Backup your xampp\htdocs and xampp\mysql\data files, uninstall 1.7.1, install 1.7.3, and then put your files back in.

This is proving to be a very tedious process because I have databases with millions of records, and exporting them is still going on from yesterday. Do you think the process would work simply by copying over all the data files in the mysql directory, rather than doing dumps?
